How to draw a face?

The common shape of a human face is oval. The drawing starts with an outline of the human face. First of all, we draw a circle, then proceed to the next steps.

Step by step guide to draw a face

Step #1: Draw a circle

As the first step, we draw a circle that constitutes the upper portion of the head.

Step #2: Draw two perpendicular lines through the center

The second step to draw a face is to mark the position of eyes. The easiest method – draw two perpendicular lines through the center of the circle.

In the same step, we shall mark the position of the jaw as well. Mark a point on the vertical line, that shall half of the radius away from the periphery of the circle (approximately)

Step #3: Draw the jaw

Draw the jaw connecting the point that we have drawn in the previous step.

Note: The width of the jaw can define the gender the face. For example, a man might have a wider jaw.

Step #4: Draw Eyebrows

Divide the horizontal line into half and quarter as shown in the figure to get an idea where to draw the eyes.

Step #5: Draw Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Lips
